Hey there everyone on day 7 of germination stage and i happen to look in and this is what i see is this normal for the leaves to look kind of dried out? Again im a noob to this
Should i switch the schedule to veg?
Looks good. Might need to make your Coco pod even with the white lid so it’s not sticking up. Unless you have a sticker that’s says otherwise. This will keep the pod moist. Yes looks ready for next stage In my opinion. My first time growing hydro as well. Happy growing!!
Do not switch to Veg. She most likely couldn’t handle the nutrient dosage that would bring on. I agree with @AandM-farms your pod does seem to be sitting high, any reason why? (It should be flush with the reservoir lid). This could be causing the pod to dry out and not provide sufficient water to your seedling. I would recommend very gently pushing it down. If it feels dry to the touch I would also pour a small amount of RO or Distilled water on the pod. You don’t want to drench it but it should be moist to the touch.
I also heard to let it go through the entire germination stage.
Sorry didn’t read all the way thru let it go the full stage of germination. Thanks for the other info. Didn’t mean to give wrong info. Thanks guys for your input.
You seem very knowledgeable what do you think i should do i dropped the coco pod down flush but this is how it looks today… should i just start over? Or should i play this one out?..
Do you have high heat or temps?
Pod is perfect now, I honestly would start over just to be sure you start off on the right foot, giving your plant every advantage from the very start. @ToddYYC what are your thoughts?
No, my grobos temp hast gone above 87 degrees since like day 2 of germination. Also haven’t checked the humidity levels inside the machine think that can be a factor?
It’s hard to tell at this stage with such small leaves, but yeah high humidity and/or high heat can cause stress on the plant and cause the leaves to curl/twist. But so does over & under-watering. Since it looks like there’s discoloration, it could be a nutrient deficiency which could be caused by off pH levels or by a kinked line in one of your bottles.
@Allforlove I think generally you want to keep the temp below 80 degrees F
New leafs dead. Bad genetics?
Id start a new seed for sure. Pods shoulf be moist tor first 10 to 14 days. After that theyll dry out. If they dont youll likely encounter dampening off like others have.

Well everyone heres an update! Thanks to you guys im officially at day 13 and this is how #2 looks now…
Good work, you have a very happy little plant.
So i changed the water yesterday and noticed this. The temp inside my Grobo is at 78 and goes no higher than 80-81. Think i have a issue forming on my hands?
no looka good. Running closer to 100 plus myself and no problems so you should be good
