It’ll pick up for sure. I was reading around and if this is your first grow the nute lines aren’t primed so if anything the first one didn’t maybe dispense properly so she should be okay now. Looks like she’s rebounding pretty good :+1:

Thanks @Russel_Richardson. Really appreciate the info. I wasn’t aware of the potential for nute line issues. She is definitely doing much better. Looking much healthier and has grown a bit.

I mean it’s not so much of a actual problem perse. Just think of brand new lawnmower when you put gas in it needs to be primed (the ones that do anyway😂). So I would guess same deal here as well.

Seems like first grows in the box could benefit from a fill and then drain and refill the same water to get the nutes primed

Ok, thanks!
Posting another pic here. Looking much better…Healthier and starting to get some growth. Day 23

Day 26

Hi all, finally entered day 1 of late veg since I extended early veg 1 week per Stephens recommendation. Should I be concerned about the way the largest leaves look? They have some strange looking waves in the leaves. New growth seems ok, though the texture of the leaves look a little odd. It may be nothing but i’d welcome any opinions. Thanks!

make sure bubbles are in the water in the reservoir

Thanks @ToddYYC
When i did the drain/fill last night, I noticed the roots really exploded and, as you already know, they’ve been sitting just above the water these past couple weeks (since I was still in early veg). They’re now sitting in the higher (late veg level) water. I saw a decent amount of bubbles that were just below the pod (centered). I wonder if I need to just give it some time to adjust to the new water levels? I also added 1 tsp recharge, like I’ve been doing. Appreciate the feedback

Is open a ticket but wouldn’t be overly concerned. If it continues then I’d do another drain fill and check all your cords from your bottles to the end

@ToddYYC - Thanks for the recommendation. Did as you suggested and Stephen thought things looked good from a ph/ec perspective but suggested a PH recalibration. I’ve continued to battle the curling leaf tips but it’s looking healthier now. I DO believe the PH may have been off a bit. Leaves have felt a bit dry too. I also have been keeping slightly lower temps since my humidity is also on the low side (trying to align a bit more with the VPD charts). As you can see from the pics, she is looking pretty healthy. May need to think about topping in a bit. This is day 16 of late veg (been slow growing but, I believe, looking good). Appreciate everyone’s help/feedback with this. Will continue to post progress.

Yup looks good. Your in late veg? I’d add a week or two just to give her some extra oomph

Thanks @ToddYYC
I added a week and will probably continue to add until I reach the second fan.
I think I need a little guidance here…there are a few things I’m concerned about.

  1. I continue to battle the curled leaves on the tips. Plant looks healthy from a color/green perspective. PH was recalibrated. Recharge and hydroguard were added last fill. Temps are in the 60’s with humidity in the 40’s. Not sure what’s going on or if I should be concerned

  2. I think I need to do my first trim of the lower leaves. Curious about my fellow-grower’s opinions on how much I take off and whether I need to be careful trimming specific leaves/etc…? From what I’ve read on the forum, I think I’m safe to trim most of the lower leaves, especially if they’re getting very little light. Any other thoughts/advice? It’s my first pruning so, yes, I’m a little nervous

  3. I believe I’m close to needing to do a top and/or FIM. It’s tough to tell (since it’s so bushy) but I think I’m at @5 nodes. Should I do the top and/or FIM as well as the pruning (#2 above)?..or, should I do a top then do the pruning later? Just don’t want to shock her too much

As always, Thanks!!

Is your bubbler going below?

Yes, bubbler is working. Including a couple pics since I’m not sure how much the water should be bubbling… Also, the roots look tinted a bit brown but it’s probably the Grobo nutrients and/or recharge…
Thx

Thanks @SilverGrobo, I appreciate all the links and I’ve checked them out. Yes, I ended up doing the PH calibration and I do believe it was off since it pushed me into the calibration process. I’ve since topped (I believe I actually FIM’d) and have removed some larger fan leaves that were blocking quite a lot of light to the lower leaves/growth. I’ve been giving some time for recovery and, so far, it looks like the top/trim may have helped. Will post some pics in a few days. Thx!!

Hi All,
It’s been quite a while since my last post. I’m on day 140 of the grow so it feels like it’s been a slow grow but, then again, it’s my first grow so I have nothing to compare it to ;-). Had a couple hiccups along the way (bad fan, loose connection for bottle4) but Grobo support took care of the issues very quickly (Thanks!!). I ended up extending late veg to a total of 56 days and now I’m into flowering (day 40 of flowering stage). Buds are relatively small (from what I can tell) but it’s probably to be expected since I wasn’t as aggressive with trimming/lollipopping as some were. I’m very happy to have gotten this far on my first grow (thanks to the help of so many great people on this forum). I decided to post some flowering pics (top of canopy) for feedback. Pistols are turning amber but I think I’m getting close to moving into flush…but not 100% positive. I’m waiting for a usb microscope (arriving Friday) so I can get some close-up pics of the trichomes. I would welcome any/all feedback on timing/etc…(am I close, weeks away from flush, etc…?). Based on what I’ve seen with other grows, I’m thinking I’m a week or two away. BTW…this strain is for relaxation/sleep and is a hybrid-Godbud/Grapefruit. Thanks!!

Very nice!!! Keep at it! It’s a beautiful journey!!!

I think your right on your timing assumption, probably a couple 1-2 weeks out from flush. You’ll have a lot better of an idea once you receive your microscope. Great job on your first grow! Sounds like you know what to do differently next time to create a higher yield.
